Was A Star

An unknown caller claims to the city newspaper that the first Iranian screen actress has died. Some of the oldest actors gather to commemorate her memory in an abandoned theater. The last thing they expect is to be taken hostage by the usherEbrahim Mashreghi, the caretaker of the Pars theater, calls a newspaper reporter named Raha Zamaneh and announces the death of an old Iranian actress, Rouhangiz. The reporter assumes that the dead actress is the same actress who played in ‘Dokhtar-e-Lor’ movie, so she rushes to the Pars Theater to report on the incident. Ebrahim accepts to cooperate only if a grave in the artists’ cemetery is dedicated to Rouhangiz. Raha informs the House of Cinema about the death news. Soon artists appear on the dead body and they all believe that it belongs to Rouhangiz Sami-Nezhad. Ebrahim is talking about his love for the deceased and he refuses to disclose the fact that Rouhangiz has died a few years ago.

« ابراهیم مشرقی» سرایدار تئاتر پارس با «رها زمانه» خبرنگار هنری روزنامه تماس می گیرد و خبر درگذشت یکی از بازیگران قدیمی ایران روح انگیز را می دهد. خبرنگار با این باور که بازیگر فوت شده باید همان هنرپیشه فیلم «دختر لر» باشد، با عجله خود را به تئاتر پارس می رساند تا گزارشی از این واقعه تهیه کند. اما شرط ابراهیم اینست که برای «روح انگیز» قطعه ای در گورستان هنرمندان تهیه شود

«رها» به «خانه سینما» فوت روح انگیز را خبر می دهد، به زودی هنرمندانی بر سر جنازه حاضر می شوند و باور می کنند که او همان و روح انگیز سامی نژاد است و ابراهیم مشرقی که از عشق خود به متوفی می گوید، حاضر به افشای این حقیقت نیست که «روح انگیز سامی نژاد» سال ها پیش درگذشته است
