The Third Day

the last days of fighting against the occupation of Khoramshahr in 1981, and a large number of enemy soldiers with a heavy support are entering and conquering the city step by step. People remaining in the west of the city put their last efforts to resist the enemy. Reza who cannot bring out his broken-leg sister, Samireh, from enemy’s blockade, digs a hideout in the garden and hides her in it. He goes to fight the enemy and then comes back with other warriors to save his sister. Enemy forces continue their onrush and occupy the house while some of them spend the night there. One of the soldiers, Foad, was once a colleague of Samireh’s in Iraqi school of Khormashahr as a teacher. Foad loved Samireh and has even proposed to her but Reza always treats him in a bad way. Foad who now fights for the enemy army, reviews his memories in his lover’s house while the girl spends the night beside him under the ground in a difficult condition. Reza is trying to get some volunteers to save his sister. All the story takes place in three days.

آخرین روزهای مقاومت برای ممانعت از اشغال خرمشهر در سال ۱۳۵۹ است و سربازان کثیر دشمن با تجهیزات و پشتیبانی فراوان، رفته رفته شهر را به اشغال خود در می آورند، نفرات باقیمانده در غرب خرمشهر، آخرین تلاش های خود را به کار گرفته اند… «رضا» که قادر نیست خواهرش «سمیره» را که پایش شکسته است، از محاصره ی دشمن خارج کند، او را عجالتاً در مخفیگاهی که با کندن زمین، در باغچه ی خانه ایجاد کرده، از دید دشمن پنهان و خود با اصرار «سمیره» می رود تا با کمک رزمندگان برای نجات او بازگردد… سربازان دشمن، در حال پیشروی، خانه ی آنها را نیز تاراج کرده و برخی شان پایان روز را در آنجا می مانند، یکی از آنها «فؤاد» است که همکار «سمیره» در مدرسه ی عراقی ها در خرمشهر بوده و تدریس می کرده است. «فؤاد» علاقه مند «سمیره» و خواستگار او بود، اما «رضا» همواره با او برخورد تندی داشت… «فؤاد» حالا در اردوگاه دشمن، در خانه ی یار، خاطرات را مرور می کند و محبوبه، در چند قدمی او، زیر زمین، ساعات سختی را می گذراند و «رضا» نیز در تلاش برای نجات او، سعی در جذب داوطلب دارد… فیلم قصه ی این رویارویی طی سه روز است
