Mahmood tries to get in touch with his fiancee,Pari, after being released from the prison.she is working in a cabaret owned by a man named Safdar who puts up a trap for Mahmood once he realizes Mahmood is planning to marry Pari. Mahmood is once again in trouble and is being chased by the police, so he flees and ends up hiding in a village where he meets Ahmad, a man who happens to be exactly like Mahmood. Ahmad is living with his fiancee Narges who suggests that Ahmad must work in the city and save money for their marriage. When Ahmad is in the city, the police arrest him instead of Mahmood. In the meantime, Mahmood finds out that Narges is actually Safdar’s niece and Safdar took away her patrimony properties years ago. محمود كف گرگي پس از مرخص شدن از زندان سراغ نامزدش پري مي رود كه در كاباره ي صفدرخان برنامه اجرا مي كند. محمود تصميم دارد با پري ازدواج كند؛ اما صفدر در اتومبيل محمود مقداري هرويين مي گذارد و موجب گرفتاري محمود مي شود. محمود از دست ژاندارم ها مي گريزد و به دهكده اي پناه مي برد كه مردي به نام احمد در آن جا زندگي مي كند كه كاملاً شبيه محمود است. نرگس، نامزد احمد،‌ از احمد مي خواهد كه به شهر برود و با كار و كوشش و تهيه ي پول با او ازدواج كند. احمد به جاي محمود دستگير و روانه ي زندان مي شود. محمود متوجه مي شود كه نرگس دختر برادر صفدر است، و صفدر ارثيه ي او را تصاحب كرده است. با تلاش محمود و پري احمد تبرئه و از زندان آزاد مي شود، و با مداخله ي پليس صفدر و دار و دسته اش به دام پليس مي افتند. محمود با پري و احمد با نرگس زندگي جديدي را آغاز مي كنند
