How Much You Want To Cry?

An old rich man who has been away from his country for many years, realizes that he has an incurable disease. He decides to spend the last days of his life in his homeland. His family believes that he should stay abroad until his death rather than travelling to his hometown and dying in a place where no one recognizes him. But despite his family’s opposition, the old man returns to his country. He is determined to pre-order all the preparations for his burial and funeral before his death. So he contacts with one of the agencies which offer such services. He agrees to pay the full cost of the ceremony to Mr. Ashkboos, the head of the agency, provided that he sees his funeral being held tentatively. Ashkboos hires a large crowd to cry, and finally the funeral begins with all its formalities. The old man’s empty coffin is creeping by the people who are hired to cry. Everybody is sadly following the coffin to the cemetery and the old man is watching all of these things being filmed. At the end of the funeral, at the old man’s house, the mother of one of the crying crew gets sick. The old man goes to the hospital for help and this provides good opportunity for a member of the crew to rob the old man’s house because of his financial need. The old man returns home just at the right time and finds out about the case. But he ignores the fact and gets himself busy with watching the rest of the film of the funeral. The robber feels like the old man has humiliated him with his ignorance. So he starts to mock the plans of his funeral in return. At the same time, the old man, watching the moments of the funeral and listening to the robber’s phrases, is transformed and decides to do good, compensate his past and attract real love in the short time left in his life. The old man does everything he can and helps people in his surroundings. When he dies at his house during the wedding ceremony of the two of the crying crew, there are many people who follow his dead body to its eternal home while they are truly sad about his void.

پیرمرد متمولی که سال های متمادی دور از وطن بوده، پس از اطلاع از بیماری لاعلاجش ، تصمیم می گیرد روزهای پایانی عمر را در سرزمین مادری سپری کند و علیرغم مخالفت های خانواده اش که مرگ در غربت را بهتر از مرگ غریبانه می دانند و معتقدند که او در تنهایی و انزوا خواهد مرد، پیرمرد به وطن باز می گردد

پیرمرد مصمم است تا قبل از فوتش همه مقدمات تشییع، کفن و دفن و ترحیم خود را از قبل منظم کند و به همین منظور با یکی از مؤسسات خدمات ترحیم تماس گرفته و توافق می کند تا در مقابل پرداخت هزینه کامل مراسم به آقای اشکبوس، رئیس مؤسسه، یک بار مراسم مربوط به تدفین و ادامه اش را قبل از فوت خود، ببیند!

بالاخره مراسم با تمام تشریفاتش آغاز می شود… تابوت خالی پیرمرد در میان هیاهوی گریه کن ها و مشایعت کنندگان بالای دست می رود. و همه مویه کنان و به سر زنان به دنبال تابوت به گورستان می روند، و پیرمرد همه این اتفاقات را که فیلمبرداری می شود می بیند. پس از پایان مراسم ترحیم، در خانه پیرمرد، حال مادر یکی از گریه کن ها وخیم می شود. پیرمرد برای کمک او به بیمارستان می رود و این فرصت خوبی برای یکی از گریه کن هاست تا به دلیل نیاز مالی اش به خانه پیرمرد دستبرد بزند، پیرمرد سر بزنگاه به خانه اش باز می گردد و متوجه امر می شود، امّا خونسرد از کنار این واقعه می گذرد و خودش را به دیدن فیلم مراسم مرگش سرگرم می کند

سارق که از خونسردی پیرمرد کلافه است و در عین حال از موقعیت خود تحقیر شده، برنامه های او را به تمسخر می گیرد و همزمان پیرمرد، با تماشای لحظه های مراسم و واگویه های سارق، منقلب می شود و تصمیم می گیرد در فاصله کوتاهی که وقت دارد، به جذب محبت های واقعی پرداخته و کارهای خداپسندانه انجام دهد و گذشته اش را جبران کند
