A Piece Of Bread

A miracle has taken place in one of the villages of a mountainous region of Iran. An illiterate woman, it is claimed, can now interpret Arabic and can read the Quran, even with her eyes closed. As more and more people journey to the village in the hope of being cured, a sceptical army officer (Ahmad Aghalou) is sent to assess and diffuse the situation. Joining him are a simple-minded army recruit and an elderly mullah, and as this unlikely trio approach their destination, they find themselves embarking on a remarkable journey together.

This morning, the job-seeking youth are awaiting the start of a competition which after running a distance of 50 km, would result in the employment of two of them as park rangers. This morning, Maryam walked to the school, limping, just like every other day. This morning, sergeant Fatah along with a soldier, have started their journey in the rocky  roads reluctantly; they must also carry Karbalaie Ghasem with themselves, who is a trustee of the villagers. This morning, Karbalaie Ghasem awaits the sergeant while sitting under the shadow of an old tree, with his cane and prayer beads in his hand. He has to go to the Imamzadeh at the end of a long journey through Barzekooh. A large number of people have congregated at the Imamzadeh to see Ramezoon. This morning, something extraordinary has happened for Ramezoon, who is illiterate, but has become a memorizer of Quran. Karbalaie Ghasem who himself is a Quarn memorizer is going to evaluate the case. This morning is different with every other morning; this morning something extraordinary has happened.

امروز صبح جوانانی جویای کار در انتظار آغاز رقابتی هستند که نتیجه اش بعد از طی مسافتی حدود پنجاه کیلومتر، استخدام دو محیط بان است.امروز صبح مریم هم مثل هر روز با پای ناراحت خود، لنگ لنگان راه دبستان را پیش گرفته است.امروز صبح گروهبان فتاح همراه یک سرباز،برای انجام مأموریت در جاده های سنگلاخ با شکوه و شکایت به راه افتاده است، آنها باید کربلایی قاسم را که از معتمدین آبادی است با خود همراه ببرند.امروز صبح کربلایی قاسم در زیر سایه درختی کهنسال با بقچه و عصا و تسبیح منتظر نشسته است تا با گروهبان همراه شود، او باید در انتهای راهی طولانی در برزه کوه، به امامزاده برود که جمعیت زیادی از آبادی های دور و نزدیک در آنجا برای دیدن رمضون، جمع آمده اند.

 امروز صبح برای رمضون مرد روستایی خیر و بی سواد معجزه ای اتفاق افتاده و او حافظ قرآن شده است. کربلایی قاسم که خود حافظ قرآن است، قرار است صحت یا سقم این رویداد را تعیین کند.

امروز صبح با همه روزهای دیگر متفاوت است.امروز معجزه ای روی داده است.
